Dynamo Moscow boss Dan Petrescu is reportedly in advanced discussions with the Crystal Palace board over becoming the club's new manager.
The former Chelsea defender recently entered the fray as a possible contender to succeed Ian Holloway, who left the club more than three weeks ago.
It is understood that the potential appointment has reached an advanced stage following a glowing recommendation from new director Iain Moody, according to Sky Sports News.
However, a different view appears to be coming out of Russia as Dynamo president Gennady Solovev has insisted that Petrescu is going nowhere.
Reports have also emerged stating that Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay recently turned down the chance to move to Selhurst Park.
