Head coach Thomas Tuchel has admitted that Chelsea are giving strong consideration to making at least one new signing during the January transfer window.
Despite possessing a first-team squad not lacking in depth, the Premier League giants have been linked with a wide array of players in recent weeks.
Replacing injured wing-back Ben Chilwell is at the top of Tuchel's agenda, but the German says that discussions remain ongoing with the club's hierarchy.
Speaking to reporters at a press conference, Tuchel said: "We are discussing and in talks with the staff and the board, and the scouting, checking the possibilities which we would always do.
"Given the fact that we have some long-term injuries, we are looking into the market, looking into possibilities but not feeling under the highest pressure, and things have to make sense for us personality wise, positional wise, and also with quality. We have all options, and we are checking all options."
Everton's Lucas Digne and Barcelona's Sergino Dest are allegedly regarded as two potential options.
