Chelsea, West Ham United and Newcastle United are reportedly three of five clubs in the race to sign Everton left-back Lucas Digne.

The 28-year-old is expected to leave Goodison Park this month after falling out with head coach Rafael Benitez, who has not selected the Frenchman in any of Everton's last six matches.

According to Sky Sports News, Chelsea, West Ham, Newcastle and a fourth unnamed Premier League club are all interested in signing Digne either permanently or on loan this month, while Serie A outfit Napoli are keen to recruit the defender on a temporary deal with an option to buy next summer.

The report adds that Everton value Digne, who is out of contract on Merseyside in June 2025, at around £30m.

Digne had been a key player for the Toffees since his arrival from Barcelona in 2018, making 127 appearances across all competitions; however, the 43-cap France international is preparing to join a new club this month.

With Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell set to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury, the Blues have identified Digne as one of their leading targets, while West Ham and Newcastle are also keen to bolster their defensive options.
