Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy is reportedly poised to make an offer for Derby County wonderkid Will Hughes in January.
The 17-year-old midfielder has been thrust into the limelight this season, featuring in all 23 of the Rams' Championship matches thus far.
According to The Mirror, Spurs plan to open the bidding for Hughes but they are likely to face stiff competition from London rivals Fulham and Chelsea.
Hughes, who does not yet have an agent, is believed to be valued at around £10m by Derby.
He has represented England at Under-17 and Under-21 levels.
