Valencia midfielder Andre Gomes has emerged as a transfer target for Premier League leaders Chelsea, according to reports.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho is understood to be keen to strengthen his midfield over the summer, and has been impressed by the 21-year-old Portuguese international's recent performances.
He is considering making a £26m offer for Gomes, though Valencia will hold out for the £36m which would meet the player's release clause, according to The Mirror.
Mourinho and Gomes share an agent in Jorge Mendes, and Chelsea scouts are thought to have monitored the Valencia man in recent weeks.
