Patrick Bamford 'ends Crystal Palace loan to return to Chelsea'

Patrick Bamford is reportedly returning to Chelsea from his loan at Crystal Palace so that he can join a different club in January.

Patrick Bamford has reportedly ended his loan spell at Crystal Palace to return to Chelsea.

Bamford is said to have told reporters after this afternoon's goalless draw with Swansea, in which he missed a chance to win it, that he wants to find a new club to go on loan to in January.

The 22-year-old scored 17 goals for Middlesbrough and was named Championship Player of the Year last season, but he has failed to make an impact in the Premier League with Palace this term.

Bamford has not started a league game under Alan Pardew and only played a total of 118 minutes in six substitute appearances.
