Chelsea are reportedly plotting a move for Borussia Dortmund starlet Jude Bellingham in the summer of 2022.
The 18-year-old produced another eye-catching display in the middle of the park for England against Andorra and is thought to be on the radar of several top European clubs.
Chelsea and Manchester United were linked with a move for Bellingham before he joined Dortmund from Birmingham City last summer, and he still has another four years left to run on his deal at the Westfalenstadion, but transfer insider Dean Jones has speculated that a Blues swoop in 2022 could be on the cards.
"Jude Bellingham's been on Chelsea's radar for the past year or so. And I think that situation is one they'll start to explore further in the new year," Jones was quoted as saying by football.london.
"He's signed a new contract at Dortmund, but he'll know that Dortmund are a selling club if you're willing to put up the right price, so I think they'll start a get an idea in the new year about what his valuation is, what the pros and cons are of him versus [Declan] Rice, and what kind of money they're going to have to spend on those two players."
Bellingham already has one goal and two assists to his name from three games in the 2020-21 Bundesliga season, and he made 46 appearances for Dortmund across all tournaments last term.
