The stepfather of Leon Bailey has claimed that Chelsea have retained an interest in the Bayer Leverkusen winger.
Chelsea were heavily linked with an approach for Bailey during the summer, but the German outfit opted to keep the prospect at the club having signed him to a long-term contract.
However, the 21-year-old has found himself in and out of the starting lineup this season, and stepfather and agent Craig Butler has suggested that the situation has sparked interest in the attacker's signature.
Butler told Bild: "For Leon it is very important that he enjoys football, he lives alone in Germany, the family is in Jamaica, and if Leon does not have fun, it kills him.
"Top clubs have come forward, Real [Madrid} and Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Roma, and in recent months they have been surprised that Leon plays so seldom, wondering why a top league player like him is suddenly sitting on the bench."
Bailey still has four-and-a-half years remaining on his deal.
