Chelsea 'facing Geoffrey Kondogbia battle'

A report claims that Chelsea will face competition from Premier League rivals if they wish to sign Inter Milan's Geoffrey Kondogbia in the January transfer window.

Chelsea are reportedly one of "many English clubs" that want to sign Inter Milan midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia.

Earlier this month, Chelsea were linked with a January swoop for the Frenchman, who has struggled to settle in Italian football since making the move from AS Monaco in the summer of 2015.

Arsenal and Liverpool have both previously been credited with an interest in the energetic midfielder, and according to Goal.com, there will be a Premier League scramble for Kondogbia's services at the start of 2017.

The five-time France international started his professional career with Lens, before moving on to Sevilla in 2012. After one year in Spain, Monaco purchased the midfielder for a figure in the region of £17m.
