Chelsea winger Christian Atsu has reportedly agreed terms with Newcastle United over a permanent move to St James' Park.
The 25-year-old spent the season on loan with the Magpies, making 34 appearances in all competitions and scoring five goals and creating three assists.
It emerged yesterday that talks had begun over a permanent transfer thought to be in the region of £6.2m.
Now, according to Sky Sports News, Atsu has agreed terms to become Rafael Benitez's first signing of the summer transfer window, which opens on July 1.
It is believed that the Ghana international, who never made a single appearance for Chelsea during a four-year spell, has put pen to paper on a deal until 2021.
