Olivier Giroud is given his first Chelsea start in the Premier League fixture with West Bromwich Albion, while Alvaro Morata is selected on the bench.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has handed a start to Olivier Giroud for the Premier League clash with West Bromwich Albion.

Giroud features in the starting lineup for the first time since his January switch from Arsenal, while fellow forward Alvaro Morata makes a surprise return to the bench after a back injury.

Andreas Christensen is also selected in the centre of defence after a short period out with a hamstring injury, while Cesc Fabregas features in place of the suspended Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Emerson Palmieri and Willian are only among the replacements, but there is no place in the 18-man squad for David Luiz.

West Brom head coach Alan Pardew has made three alterations from the team which started last weekend's 3-2 defeat against Southampton.

Jonny Evans returns to the centre of defence after a back problem, while Kieran Gibbs and Grzegorz Krychowiak also come back into the side.

Gareth McAuley, Allan Nyom and Claudio Yacob all find themselves on the bench.
