Chelsea captain John Terry could be stripped of the England captaincy for the second time in his career if the Football Association find him guilty of racially abusing Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand.
The FA will investigate allegations that the Chelsea defender spouted racist remarks at Ferdinand during the Blues' 1-0 defeat to QPR.
If the 30-year-old is found guilty of the accusations then he could face demotion from the England captaincy, according to The Mirror.
The centre-back has "welcomed" the investigation but insists that he is innocent.
