Robbie Savage: Chelsea will win Premier League title "by a mile"

Leaders Chelsea will win the Premier League title "by a mile" this season, according to footballer-turned-pundit Robbie Savage.

Robbie Savage has backed Chelsea to win the Premier League title this season by a convincing margin.

Jose Mourinho's side extended their unbeaten start to the campaign to 12 matches yesterday afternoon courtesy of a 2-0 victory over 10-man West Bromwich Albion at Stamford Bridge.

That result opened up a seven-point advantage over second-placed Southampton, while last season's champions Manchester City are a point and a place further back.

Asked on Match of the Day if Chelsea's lead is already an unassailable one, former Leicester City and Blackburn Rovers midfielder Savage responded: "They're miles ahead. The best team in the Premier League and I think they'll win it by a mile."

The Blues take on Schalke 04 in the Champions League on Tuesday night, before travelling to Sunderland next weekend.
