Jorge Sampaoli on Chelsea's radar?

Chile head coach Jorge Sampaoli is reportedly one of the contenders to become Chelsea's new manager in the summer.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has reportedly added Jorge Sampaoli to his shortlist of potential managerial candidates.

Guus Hiddink recently agreed to take charge at Stamford Bridge until the end of the season, replacing the sacked Jose Mourinho.

However, it is unlikely that the 69-year-old will take the Blues further than the summer, with Abramovich expected to make a more long-term appointment.

The likes of Pep Guardiola and Diego Simeone have been linked with the post, but according to The Sun, current Chile head coach Sampaoli is also a contender.

It is believed that Abramovich was particularly impressed with the way that the Argentine guided Chile to success at this summer's Copa America.

Valencia, currently coached by former Manchester United and England right-back Gary Neville, have also been credited with an interest in the 55-year-old.
