Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech gives Liverpool striker Luis Suarez "credit" for not diving for a penalty during Sunday's draw at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has given Liverpool striker Luis Suarez "credit" for not opting to dive in the penalty area during the Blues' draw with the Merseyside outfit on Sunday.

The Uruguayan international, who has often been accused of going to ground too easily, was one-on-one with Cech during the second half of Chelsea's 1-1 draw with Liverpool but refused to claim for a penalty, despite Cech's launch for the ball.

"We should give credit to [Suarez] because when we had a one v one he didn't try to cheat and jump and dive," the Liverpool Daily Post quotes Cech as saying. "I got a clear touch to the ball and kicked it on to him. It was a fair thing for him to do."

Meanwhile, the Champions League winners are expected to be without captain John Terry for a number of weeks after the centre-back suffered a knee injury at Stamford Bridge.
