Chelsea boss Antonio Conte targeting players who can adapt to "philosophy"

New Chelsea manager Antonio Conte claims that he intends to sign players who can adapt to his "philosophy".

New Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has revealed that he will sign players who can adapt to his "philosophy".

The 46-year-old, who arrived at his new job this week following a two-year spell in charge of Italy, has made one signing so far this summer.

Michy Batshuayi joined the Blues from Marseille at the start of the month, reportedly costing in the region of £33m.

Leicester City midfielder N'Golo Kante has recently been linked with the West London outfit, but when Conte was asked in his first official press conference about transfer activity, the Italian was tight lipped.

"I prefer to speak to the club about this and to take the decision about players together," Conte told reporters. "You don't need to take just the champions, you need to take those who can adapt to our football and our philosophy.

"It is not right to say names because these players are at other teams - I don't like other managers speaking about my players."

Conte has also confirmed that John Terry will remain as captain.
