Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers

Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Chelsea are in need of a point against Wolverhampton Wanderers in their final Premier League game of the season to guarantee a top-four finish.

The Blues were on the wrong end of an eight-goal thriller with Liverpool on Wednesday evening and have slipped to fourth in the table.

With the sides directly above and below them - Manchester United and Leicester City respectively - facing off at the King Power Stadium on Sunday, Frank Lampard's men know that a draw against Wolves will get them over the line regardless of events elsewhere.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the final-day contest at Stamford Bridge.

N'Golo Kante

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: July 26 (vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers)

N'Golo Kante has missed Chelsea's last five matches with a knee injury, which was initially described as "low level". Lampard has given the Frenchman a small chance of featuring against Wolves.

Billy Gilmour

Possible return date: Unknown

Billy Gilmour's breakthrough season at Stamford Bridge has been curtailed by a knee injury which required surgery, ruling him out of action for the foreseeable future.

Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

It is now almost seven years since Marco van Ginkel last played for Chelsea and nearly two years since the injury-plagued midfielder played in a competitive game of any kind, yet he recently signed a new contract with the Blues to extend his stay for one more year.

Ross Barkley

Ross Barkley missed out against Liverpool with what Lampard put down to an illness. The England international is expected to be back involved in some capacity on Sunday.
