Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Bournemouth

Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for Chelsea ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Bournemouth.

Chelsea will be looking to return to winning ways against Bournemouth after losing 3-1 to Everton in their last Premier League outing.

The Blues did secure passage to the knockout stages of the Champions League in their most recent game, beating Lille 2-1 at Stamford Bridge to leapfrog Ajax in the group and qualify.

A visit from the Cherries is the next obstacle for Frank Lampard's men, whose form has been patchy since their seven-game winning run was ended. The Blues have managed just four wins from their subsequent 10 games, including four defeats.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Fikayo Tomori

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: December 14 (vs. Bournemouth)

The young centre-back has been impressive since returning from his loan spell at Derby County and Lampard will be hoping to introduce him back into the starting lineup sooner rather than later. He was unable to feature against Lille, but will be assessed ahead of the meeting with Bournemouth.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Status: Out
Type of injury: Achilles
Possible return date: Unknown

The midfielder had been expected to be back in time for this game, but a few setbacks in his recovery from a long-term injury mean he may have to wait until the new year before returning to the field.

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

The striker appears to have fallen down the pecking order behind Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi, and a niggling ankle injury is keeping him from staking his claim to return to the side. Should he continue to be left out when fit, he may push for a move in January.

Marco van Ginkel

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

A long-term absentee with a serious ACL injury, Van Ginkel is training again but remains some way short of the match fitness required to feature for the Blues. His return still appears to be some distance away.

CHELSEA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Chelsea have no players suspended for this fixture.
