Half-Time Report: Chelsea cruising against Tottenham Hotspur

Eden Hazard and Didier Drogba score in the first half to give Chelsea a 2-0 lead over Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea scored twice in the space of three minutes to open up a 2-0 lead in the first half of their Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge this evening.

Spurs made a bright start to the match as they looked to end their London rivals' unbeaten start to the season, but Harry Kane was denied by the crossbar early on as he tried to head in from an Aaron Lennon cross.

The hosts were ahead with less than 20 minutes on the clock though, as Eden Hazard cut in from out wide before firing a low shot beneath Hugo Lloris at the near post.

Jose Mourinho's men needed just three minutes to double their advantage as a poor clearance from Lloris gave the ball back to the Belgian, but this time he passed to Oscar, who in turn found Didier Drogba, leaving the Ivorian to smash it in from close range.

The visitors had a chance to get one back when Ben Davies picked up the ball in midfield and tried to set up Ryan Mason, but the midfielder fired it straight to Thibaut Courtois from the edge of the box.
