Half-Time Report: Celtic in control against Dundee United

Celtic cruise to a 3-0 lead at half time in their Scottish Premiership match against St Johnstone.

Celtic have opened up a commanding 3-0 lead over Dundee United at half time in their Scottish Premiership match this afternoon.

The defending champions looked the stronger of the two sides from the start, and needed just four minutes to take the lead as Jason Denayer smashed the ball in on his debut for the club.

Anthony Stokes came close to doubling the score shortly after, but his 25-yard shot was always rising, and finished high of the crossbar.

The Hoops continued to dominate though, and added a second with less than half-an-hour played as Kris Commons headed in from a Stokes corner.

Stefan Johansen added to their lead just six minutes later, stealing the ball on the edge of the box before drilling it into the back of the net.

Ronny Deila's side could have added a fourth in stoppage time when Jo Inge Berget struck the crossbar before Stokes forced a save from Radosław Cierzniak.
