Goals from Alessandro Matri, Claudio Marchisio and Mirko Vucinic at Parkhead this evening have left Juventus on the verge of qualification through to the Champions League quarter-finals at the expense of Celtic.
The match started poorly for hosts Celtic, who fell behind with just three minutes on the clock.
Efe Ambrose failed to win a header, which allowed Matri the chance to race through on goal. His poked effort was cleared by Kelvin Wilson, but replays showed that the ball had crossed the line. Even so, Marchisio was on hand to send the rebound into the roof of the net to make sure.

That prompted a positive reaction from the home team, but they were unable to find an equaliser before the break.
Kris Commons went closest with an acrobatic effort, but the ball skidded just wide of the target in the 35th minute.

Ambrose had an opportunity to atone for his earlier error in the 63rd minute, but he headed straight at Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon from six yards out.
His failure to score was punished 12 minutes from time when Marchisio cut inside Wilson, before slotting the ball beyond the reach of Fraser Forster from a narrow angle.

The Italian champions then sealed the victory five minutes later as Ambrose was caught in possession and Vucinic took full advantage to slot the ball underneath an advancing Forster.
