Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: 'West Bromwich Albion draw could be a defining moment'

Cardiff City boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hopes that last week's late equaliser at West Bromwich Albion has given his side the belief that they need to stay in the Premier League.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hopes that Cardiff City's last-gasp equaliser at West Bromwich Albion has given his side the belief that they need to achieve Premier League survival this season.

Mats Moller Daehli's 95th-minute strike earned Cardiff a share of the spoils in a dramatic 3-3 draw last week. That result means that the Bluebirds will begin today's match with 16th-placed Crystal Palace just four points behind their opponents.

"What happened at the end of the game last week was hopefully the turning point and a defining moment," Solskjaer told reporters.

"If we'd lost that, it would have been a lot more difficult to speak to the lads."

He added: "I don't think any of us should be worried. We need to take it as an opportunity to claw our way back on Palace. We need to go out there and give it a go and do what we can to get those three points."

Cardiff are unbeaten in their last nine home games against Palace.
