League Two roundup: Fleetwood Town slip up

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from League Two on Saturday.

Fleetwood Town have slipped down to fourth in League Two following a 2-0 home defeat to Cheltenham Town.

Graham Alexander's side were chasing the game right from the first minute when Troy Brown headed home Matthew Richards's cross from close range.

Then in the third minute of injury time Jermaine McGlashan fired home to wrap up the points for Cheltenham at Highbury.

The result means that Fleetwood are now four points behind leaders Chesterfield and two behind third-placed Scunthorpe United, who beat Morecambe 2-0 at home on Saturday.

Burton Albion are fifth in the standings but level on points with Fleetwood as they drew 1-1 at Hartlepool United.

Philip Edwards gave the visitors the lead at Victoria Park in the 18th minute, but Brad Walker restored parity for Hartlepool midway through the second half.

At the wrong end of the table, Bristol Rovers got the better of fellow strugglers Portsmouth 2-0 at home.

Ollie Clarke broke the deadlock at the Memorial Stadium five minutes before the half-time break and David Clarkson wrapped up the points 14 minutes from time.

Elsewhere in League Two on Saturday, Accrington Stanley scored twice in injury time to beat Mansfield Town 3-2 at Field Mill, Wycombe Wanderers hammered Northampton Town 4-1 away from home, while Newport County's clash against AFC Wimbledon was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
