Tite will not gamble on the fitness of Neymar at the World Cup, with the Brazil and Paris Saint-Germain forward being deemed doubtful for the tournament.

Brazil boss Tite has vowed that "health comes first" amid suggestions that he will consider rushing Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar back to full fitness.

The 26-year-old is expected to be in a race against time to recover from a foot injury for the Selecao's opening World Cup match against Switzerland on June 17.

Tite insists that he will not put the PSG ace's future in doubt by fielding him at anything less than 100% fit, however, with a further update on his expected return date likely to be forthcoming next month.

"Neymar's father said the primary concern is the athlete's health," he told reporters. "It is the same thing all us think. Health comes first.

"You don't pay for winning like that - whether it's the World Cup, whether it's the Brazilian national team. Paying the price with someone's health or rushing someone's recovery, we don't do that."

Tite was speaking after announcing his squad for upcoming friendlies against Russia and Germany, with Talisca and Willian Jose the new faces to be included.
