Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has handed striker Joshua King his debut for the Cherries in their Premier League opener against Aston Villa at Dean Court.
The 23-year-old completed a move to the club in the summer from Blackburn Rovers and will make his first start for Howe's men, leading the line alongside Callum Wilson.
Fellow summer signings Max Gradel, Sylvain Distin and Tyrone Mings miss out and they start on the bench at Dean Court as Howe has selected 10 of the players that were part of his Championship squad in his starting lineup.
Villa boss Tim Sherwood has handed debuts to Jordan Amavi, Micah Richards, Jordan Ayew, Jordan Veretout and Idrissa Gueye this afternoon.
Ayew is part of a three-man attack providing support on the flanks along with Scott Sinclair for Gabriel Agbonlahor down the middle, while Richards and Amavi slot into the defence. Veretout and Gueye start in the middle of the park in front of the back four.
