Eddie Howe wants Bournemouth stay

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe says that he wants to remain at the club to repay the faith shown in him by chairman Maxim Demin.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has said that he wants to repay the faith shown in him by chairman Maxim Demin.

The 36-year-old has taken the Cherries from League Two to the Championship during two spells as manager.

Howe has praised the working relationship that he has with Demin, who became co-owner of the club alongside Eddie Mitchell in 2011.

"Maxim has put a lot of money into the club and a lot of trust in me. He has allowed me to express myself as a manager and that is all you can ask because it doesn't always happen," Howe told the Bournemouth Echo.

"He has given me a licence to run the football side of the club and, although he keeps a close eye on what we are doing, he also lets us get on with our jobs.

"Nothing would please me more than to see us stabilise in this division and eventually look to move up. It may take some time but that is the aim."

Bournemouth sit 16th in the Championship after 25 games.
