Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe hopes to hang on to striker Lewis Grabban

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe insists that he does not want to sell top scorer Lewis Grabban.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has insisted that he does not want to sell striker Lewis Grabban.

Fellow South Coast Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly eyeing a move for the Cherries' top scorer, but Howe told BBC Radio Solent that he has no intention of letting the 26-year-old leave.

"We have not had any approaches for Lewis, as we speak," said Howe.

"We are aware of the speculation and from my perspective I do not want to lose my best players."

Grabban joined Bournemouth from Rotherham United in May 2012. He has scored 10 league goals in 25 appearances this season.
