Robbie Fowler has suggested that he would be happy to join Blackpool until the end of the season.
The former Liverpool striker has been on trial with the Championship club over the last few days.
Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has admitted that he would like to add the 36-year-old to his squad, a move that Fowler is hoping to secure.
"I haven't kicked a ball for five or six weeks, so I'm a bit rusty, but my overall fitness is very good, and I've enjoyed working with the Blackpool lads," Fowler told The Mirror. "I don't know what will happen, to be honest. I haven't had much time to think about it as I was only asked to go in to the club on Thursday."
"I have a lot of respect for Ian - he's a really decent guy and I admire the way his teams play football," he added.
"If I can help out in any way then I'd love to get involved."
Fowler has not played for an English side since leaving Blackburn Rovers in 2008.
