Borussia Monchengladbach's sporting director Max Eberl has denied that goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has agreed a deal with Barcelona.
A recent report claimed that Barca had fixed a preliminary contract agreement with the stopper.
The German himself was coy when quizzed on the move recently, but his club have moved to refute suggestions that a deal has been made.
"No club has approached us or has contacted us," Eberl told Kicker.
"The fact is that we are in contract negotiations. And we are confident that Marc will still be playing with us because the talks are positive.
"Marc is 21 and at his age has to play, he needs 34 games a season. There have been talks with Borussia over a contract extension and Marc-Andre is now considering that in peace."
However, despite the speculation surrounding Ter Stegen's future, a recent report claimed that Barca were still interested in on-loan Napoli keeper Pepe Reina.
