German international goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has opened contract talks with Borussia Monchengladbach, his agent has revealed.
The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with replacing Victor Valdes at Barcelona, but his representative Gerd Vom Bruch insists that Die Fohlen are keen to keep him at Borussia Park.
"Borussia already knows that there are two or three big clubs interested in him," he told Marca. "Right now we are talking with the club about extending his contract."
Ter Stegen made his international debut in a 5-3 friendly defeat to Switzerland in May of last year, before adding further caps against Argentina and the United States.
