Ferran Torres is expected to be the player to benefit from Robert Lewandowski's absence when Barcelona continue their La Liga campaign away to Granada on Sunday night.
Lewandowski is facing a month or so on the sidelines with the ankle injury that he suffered during the Champions League contest with Porto on Wednesday.
Torres came off the bench to score the winner against Porto, and the forward, who is back in the Spain squad, is now set to be given the nod down the middle.
As well as Lewandowski, Barcelona are missing Frenkie de Jong, Pedri and Raphinha through injury for their final match ahead of the October international break.
Fermin Lopez has been impressing this season, and the midfielder could now earn his first start for the club in central midfield, with Ilkay Gundogan potentially given a rest.
Andreas Christensen is currently out of the first XI due to Ronald Araujo's return to fitness and that is again expected to be the case on Sunday evening.
Lamine Yamal again started against Porto and should continue on the right of the front three, with on-loan Atletico Madrid attacker Joao Felix also set to keep his spot.
Sergi Roberto and Marcos Alonso could also be in Xavi's thinking when it comes to starting roles, but it is likely that both players will again be on the bench for the first whistle.
Barcelona possible starting lineup: Ter Stegen; Cancelo, Kounde, Araujo, Balde; Fermin, Romeu, Gavi; Yamal, Torres, Felix
