Tito Vilanova "very happy" with Pep Guardiola's management return

Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova says that he is "very happy" to see Pep Guardiola return to management with Bayern Munich.

Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova has said that he is glad to see his predecessor Pep Guardiola return to management.

The Spaniard, who left Barca last summer and moved to New York with his family on a sabbatical, has officially agreed to take over at Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

"I didn't know where he was going, I didn't know anything," BBC Sport quotes Vilanova as saying.

"I suppose he couldn't say. I'm very happy that he's returning to football and to one of Europe's great clubs."

Vilanova took over from Guardiola and has led Barca to a 10-point lead at the top of the table in La Liga.
