Spain forward Nolito has revealed that Barcelona boss Luis Enrique played a key role in his development as a player.
Nolito, 29, represented Barcelona B between 2008 and 2011, where he played under Enrique, who was in the early stages of his coaching career.
As talk of a reunion between the two grows, Nolito has revealed how big an impression Enrique had on him when the pair were at the Catalan outfit.
"Luis Enrique's one of my sporting parents. At Barca B, he made me realise that I could make a living in this business," Nolito told Sportium.
"He insisted that I lose weight and he'd look after me to realise all my potential. His advice was very important for me to move forward in my career. I wish him well."
Nolito, who has scored seven league goals this season, departed Barcelona for Benfica in 2011, where he spent two seasons before joining Celta.
