Highly-rated midfielder Arthur has revealed that he is looking forward to playing alongside Lionel Messi when he joins Barcelona.
Earlier this month, it was announced that Barcelona had negotiated a deal to sign Arthur from Gremio during the summer transfer window.
Arthur had been linked with a switch to numerous other European sides, but the Brazilian has suggested that becoming a teammate of Messi influenced his decision to move to Camp Nou.
The 21-year-old told El Larguero: "When I started, it was a dream to play alongside players as big as Messi. Now, it turns out that I will be able to work with him every day.
"Also, I will be able to check if he is from this planet or not because he's an outstanding player."
Arthur has previously been called up to the Brazil national squad but is yet to win his first senior cap.
