Barcelona forward Lionel Messi has been passed fit to represent Argentina in their upcoming international friendlies.
The 27-year-old's involvement had been placed in doubt after he picked up a toe injury in Sunday's 2-1 win over Real Madrid.
However, tests on Tuesday have confirmed that the attacker is fit to stay with his national team and consequently face El Salvador and Ecuador in the United States.
"The Argentina football team can confirm this morning that Leo Messi underwent a series of tests in a private clinic in Washington due to pain in his toe which he suffered during Barcelona's game against Real Madrid," a statement from Argentina's Football Association read. "Said tests have not revealed any injury."
Argentina will face El Salvador on March 28, before tackling Ecuador on March 31.
