Southampton are prepared to break their transfer record to seal a permanent move for Atletico Madrid defender Toby Alderweireld, according to report.
The Belgium international impressed during his loan spell with Ronald Koeman's men last season, and caught the eye of several top teams across Europe.
However, the Saints are ready to bid £18m to secure the signature of the 26-year-old to ensure his stay at St Mary's Stadium, reports The Mirror.
Alderweireld made 26 appearances for Southampton in the Premier League last season.
