Claudio Ranieri says that he would love Radamel Falcao to join AS Monaco this summer.

AS Monaco coach Claudio Ranieri has admitted that he remains hopeful of a deal to bring Radamel Falcao to the club in the summer.

The Colombian, who helped Atletico Madrid win the Copa del Rey on Friday, is one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe with reports claiming that a deal is in place for him to join the Ligue 2 champions.

However, with Falcao's future still unclear, Ranieri admits that he is desperate to land the striker.

"Who wouldn't want a player who always scores? We hope he can join us. That way we can start building for the future," Ranieri told Sky Sports News.

Monaco finish their campaign with a trip to Tours on Friday.
