Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has reportedly told Fernando Torres that he has no plans to turn the striker's loan stay into a permanent one.
The Spaniard returned to his boyhood club on loan from AC Milan last year, but has scored just two goals in 16 appearances.
According to AS, Simeone recently informed Torres that he is not in the club's future plans and is expected to return to Milan at the end of the season or seal a transfer elsewhere.
Atletico have been banned from registering players in the next two transfer windows after breaching FIFA's rules in relation to the signing of under-18 players.
The club's neighbours Real Madrid have also been hit with the sanction, but both outfits intend to appeal.
