Atletico Madrid 2-1 Real Valladolid

Atletico Madrid are still unbeaten in La Liga following Sunday's 2-1 win over Real Valladolid.

Atletico Madrid have kept up their unbeaten start to the La Liga season with a 2-1 win over Real Valladolid at the Estadio Vicente Calderon.

The hosts went ahead on 31 minutes when Diego Godin smashed the ball home after being picked out by Koke.

Their lead was doubled on the stroke of half time through Radamel Falcao's penalty following Omar Ramos's foul on Diego Costa.

Valladolid gave themselves hope 10 minutes into the second half thanks to Alberto Bueno's strike before Godin nearly furthered his side's lead when he put his header wide.

Tiago also missed with a header late on as Madrid held on for their third victory of the season.
