Preview: Almeria vs. Atletico Madrid

Sports Mole previews Atletico Madrid's trip to Almeria on Saturday.

Atletico Madrid will be looking to maintain their lead at the top of La Liga on Saturday when they travel to struggling Almeria.

Diego Simeone's men moved three points clear at the top of the standings last week with a 4-0 thrashing of Real Sociedad.

Almeria's defeat to Elche last Sunday means that they sit two points clear of the relegation zone.

Atletico come into the match off the back of a 3-0 defeat to rivals Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday.

Almeria coach Francisco Javier Rodriguez could be tempted to make changes to his side, with Helder Barbosa and Bruno Soriano pushing for starts.

Simeone will be without defender Filipe Luis, who has been ruled out with a groin strain, so Emiliano Insua will deputise at left-back. David Villa remains a doubt due to a hamstring strain.
