Paul Lambert claims that Aston Villa 'are going to be fine' in their battle for Premier League survival.

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has claimed that his side 'are going to be fine' in their battle for Premier League survival.

The Villans, who host fellow strugglers Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, moved three points clear of the drop zone last weekend with a 2-1 win over Reading.

"I've always been positive in my football and the way we've been playing lately I don't see why we should be unduly worried," Lambert told BBC Sport.

"We're in the mix with a lot of other teams but I've got belief we're going to be fine."

Villa were last relegated from the top flight in 1987 before gaining promotion the following season.
