Michael Zorc plays down Julian Brandt leaving Borussia Dortmund for Arsenal

Borussia Dortmund chief Michael Zorc plays down suggestions that Julian Brandt could leave the Westfalenstadion in January.

Borussia Dortmund chief Michael Zorc has insisted that the German giants have received no interest in winger Julian Brandt.

The 24-year-old has endured a mixed first half of the season, with 13 of his 22 appearances in all competitions coming from the substitutes' bench.

Arsenal are said to be monitoring the situation ahead of potentially making a formal approach for the Germany international later this month.

However, Zorc has revealed that the Bundesliga outfit have not received any contact regarding the playmaker.

Speaking to reporters, Zorc said: "No-one has contacted us, there is nothing on the table - and not even in the fax machine. That's all I can say."

Brandt still has three-and-a-half years remaining on his contract.
