Arsenal outcast Mesut Ozil has reportedly entered talks with MLS outfit DC United over a proposed move in the January transfer window.
The 32-year-old has been frozen out of the team under Mikel Arteta and last took to the pitch in March - before the first coronavirus lockdown.
While Ozil has previously reiterated his desire to see out the remaining few months of his Gunners contract, the playmaker could be tempted to leave this month with the prospect of a January recall at the Emirates looking increasingly unlikely.
According to football.london, DC United have tabled an attractive offer to the former Real Madrid man - whom they want to make the face of the club.
The report claims that the MLS outfit will look to expand Ozil's M10 and 39 Steps Coffee brand across the United States, as well as offering him his own merchandise line, and the player's agent Dr Erkut Sogut has a good relationship with the club.
Ozil - who is also being linked with Fenerbahce - has scored 44 goals and set up 77 more for the Gunners since his arrival in 2013.
