Real Madrid's Dani Ceballos opens door to Real Betis return

Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos hints at a possible return to Real Betis, with the Spaniard set to head back to the Spanish capital from his loan deal at Arsenal.

Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos has refused to rule out a potential return to Real Betis amid uncertainty surrounding his future.

The Spaniard, who is currently plying his trade on loan at Arsenal, amassed seven goals from 105 appearances for Betis before joining Los Blancos in 2017.

Ceballos has struggled to hold down a regular spot in Madrid's first XI under Zinedine Zidane, however, and the 23-year-old is keeping his options open ahead of his next career move.

Speaking to Cadena SER, Ceballos said: "Betis? It's an option. I'm not closing the door on any club. La Liga sounds good to me, but I'm also happy at Arsenal and I have to respect them.

"I'm focused on the games to come. My goal for next season is to play, and it's difficult to play 40 games as an important player at Real Madrid.

"I've been happy playing this season and I want to do the same next season. I have the make the decision myself. I'm in charge of my future.

"You miss playing in Spain because it's a league where I've played my whole life, but, well, England has also been good to me this season. I want to be where I feel most at ease playing.

"Zidane told me that it was better for me to play somewhere else for a season and gain experience, so I'll have a chat with him. We'll have to sit down and see what the best option is."

Ceballos recently extended his loan deal with Arsenal until the end of the current campaign, and the midfielder has chalked up one goal and two assists across all competitions for the Gunners.
