Arsenal and Barcelona will reportedly resume talks over a move for Denis Suarez on Monday, with the Gunners eager to seal a six-month loan deal.

Arsenal are still in the running to sign out-of-favour midfielder Denis Suarez from Barcelona, according to a report.

The Gunners appeared to hit a brick wall in negotiations with the Spanish champions earlier this week as it emerged that they have no money to spend in the January window.

Boss Unai Emery has pleaded with the club to bring in the 25-year-old on an initial loan deal, however, with the option to make it a permanent transfer in the summer.

Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira claims that talks between all three parties are to resume on Monday, but it remains to be seen whether Barca are willing to offload the Spain international on a six-month loan.

Suarez has endured a difficult campaign at Camp Nou, appearing a combined four times in La Liga and the Champions League and failing to make a single start in either competition.
