Report: Arsenal's Joel Campbell to join Benfica for £5m

Arsenal are looking to sell Costa Rica international Joel Campbell to Portuguese outfit Benfica for as little as £5m, according to reports.

Arsenal are looking to sell Joel Campbell to Benfica for as little as £5m, according to reports.

The 22-year-old striker was a key component of the Costa Rica side that reached the quarter-finals of the 2014 World Cup, but has nonetheless failed to break into the Gunners' first team since then.

According to the Daily Star, the Portuguese giants are interested in signing Campbell on loan, but Arsenal are willing to cut their losses and sell him outright.

Campbell signed for the Gunners in 2011 but has made just four appearances under Arsene Wenger, being sent out on loan for the majority of his time on the North London club's books.
