Real Sociedad confirm Joel Campbell interest

Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay hints at a move for Arsenal's Joel Campbell this summer.

Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay has hinted that his club could make a move for Arsenal forward Joel Campbell this summer.

The Costa Rican spent the second half of last season on loan at Villarreal, and Arsenal are expected to sanction another loan move before the start of next season.

The 22-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Sociedad, and their interest has been confirmed by Aperribay.

"He is an interesting player for Real, but right now there's no talk of a transfer," Aperribay told Teledonosti. "We have to analyse the financial conditions that this transfer would pose."

Campbell joined Arsenal in 2011, but has only made 10 appearances for the Premier League club's first team.
