Report: Real Sociedad eye Joel Campbell move

A report claims that Real Sociedad boss David Moyes is preparing a bid in the region of £6m to try to sign Arsenal forward Joel Campbell.

Real Sociedad boss David Moyes is eyeing a move to sign Arsenal forward Joel Campbell, according to a report.

The Scot had targeted the Costa Rica international last season, but the 22-year-old moved to Villarreal on loan as part of the deal that took Gabriel Paulista to the Gunners.

Moyes is now poised to return with a bid of £6m to lure the forward away from the Emirates Stadium with the promise of regular first-team football, reports the Daily Mail.

Campbell made 20 appearances for Villarreal last season, scoring one goal.
