Reports suggest that Arsenal will look to Argentine midfielder Lucas Biglia to replace Barcelona-bound Alex Song.

Arsenal have reportedly identified Anderlecht midfielder Lucas Biglia as a replacement for Alex Song.

The Cameroon international is expected to complete a £15m move to Barcelona in the coming weeks, leaving Arsene Wenger with a gap in midfield.

The Frenchman is thought to be keen on a move for Biglia, who has already stated his desire to leave the Belgian club.

"I want to play in a big league and my new club must be playing in the Europa League at least," Biglia told Dutch newspaper AD.

"I want to play in the spotlight of the Argentina national team coach (Alejandro Sabella). The national team is my dream. I would also like to leave Anderlecht."

Biglia has six caps for his country.
