Arsenal have reportedly been scouting Sassuolo captain Domenico Berardi in recent weeks, with the Gunners considering a summer move for the attacker.
The 27-year-old has been in excellent form for his Italian club during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring 12 times and contributing 14 assists in 26 appearances in all competitions.
Berardi still has more than two years left to run on his current deal, but there has been a host of speculation surrounding his future in recent months.
AC Milan and Napoli are among the Italian sides to be linked with his services, but according to journalist Nicolo Schira, there is also interest from the Premier League in the shape of Arsenal.
Schira claims that the Gunners, alongside Leicester City, have sent their scouts to Italy to keep a close eye on the attacker's performances, with a summer bid a genuine possibility.
Berardi, who played an important role in Italy winning last summer's European Championship, has scored 117 goals and registered 81 assists in 317 appearances for Sassuolo in all competitions.
